what is botox?

Botox is a fantastic treatment which uses Botulinum Toxin A to block neurotransmitters sent from the brain to the muscles its injected into. This takes away the muscles ability to contract, which over time causes fine lines and wrinkles.

By freezing these muscles, we are able to smooth out current lines and prevent them from deepening in the future. We can also use Botox to alleviate jawline grinding and clenching, alleviate the pain of chronic migraines and to help with Hyperhidrosis.

Botox treatments should be topped up every 3-4 months to maintain a youthful, wrinkle-free appearance.

All anti-wrinkle Botox treatments include a free 2 week top up after your first session!

This means that the muscle doesn’t receive any messages to contract, so it cannot form wrinkles. The result is a much smoother and softer appearance of fine lines, and the prevention of creating any new, deeper lines.

The initial effects of Botox can be seen generally between 2 to 14 days after treatment. The effects then can last up to 6 months but average around 3 to 4 months. We advise a top up between 4 to 6 months to maintain excellent anti-ageing results, however we do offer a free top up after two weeks of the initial treatment for anti wrinkle areas on the face.
